Stockton's Fall Game Jam
Stockton University's Bi-Annual Game Jam is an event where game developers, artists, graphic designers come together. It enables participants to team up and develop a video game, regardless of their experience levels in coding. After a week of developing original games, participants will showcase them and compete for awards.
My Experience
Dan and Kyle, my two friends, and my partner, Joe were on their second-to-last day before showcasing their original game. Their slow pace and the fact that they only had free time on the weekends were the minimal issues I saw. I stepped right into their production and helped them out before the deadline.
The Main Menu is what they did not touch. I had to sketch everything on vector art before converting into sprites then animating afterwards. The final version was beautifully made, especially when the game was developed within a week.
Programs I have used: Adobe Illustrator & Libresprite

MAIN MENU DESIGN
I designed the main menu for Gas Station Sushi, made for Stockton University’s Bi-Annual Game Jam event. I created the background, title card, and rotten fish illustration, giving it a horror look while keeping a bit of humor in the concept. I experimented with typefaces to fit the eerie vibe and added a drippy effect to make it feel unsettling. The animation and overall tone were meant to capture that uneasy “something’s off” feeling you’d get from the game’s title alone.
FINAL VERSION OF MENU : Made in Libresprite.
FIRST DRAFT OF MENU: Made in Adobe Illustrator.
